This city is all about celebrating tradition and wonder, so make sure to check out our list of holiday festivities in Arlington, Texas!
Arlington Holiday Lights Parade
The Holiday Lights Parade is a cherished tradition that has been running since 2002, where University of Texas at Arlington students, Brandon Wheat and Misty Aguero, served as the first grand marshals of the parade. If you’ve never been, treat yourself to an event that truly captures the magic of the season. Grab some friends (and hot chocolate) and find your spot along the downtown/university district parade route. Then head over to Founders Plaza to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree. And yes, you can expect to see Santa!
Texas Christkindl Market
Inspired by German tradition, the Texas Christkindl Market is a spectacular way to celebrate the holidays! The open-air holiday market is located at Choctaw Stadium (formerly Globe Life Park) — a unique opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gifts and collectibles for friends and loved ones. You’ll be surrounded by festive German music while walking through the market, and the food is an experience all on its own with international tastes you’ll love.
Six Flags Over Texas Holiday in the Park
During the holiday season, Six Flags Over Texas is transformed into a magical wonderland with twinkling lights, delicious food, merry attractions, entertaining shows, and of course, the thrill of all your favorite rides! Enjoy the nightly tree lighting, take a spin on the Silver Star Christmas Carousel, indulge in s’mores and fudge, listen to carolers, watch the Holly Jolly Holiday Parade, and so much more.
