River Legacy Park

Location: 701 NW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76006

The River Legacy Park is located on the side of the Trinity River. You’ll find beautiful views at every turn and it’s the perfect spot for a nice stroll in the park, bird watching, outdoor exercising, meditating, or just taking a day to relax in a gorgeous atmosphere. You’ll also find some other great activities like their River Legacy Fall Festival, clay shooting, cardboard boat regatta, and more.

 

Vandergriff Park

Location: 2800 S Center St, Arlington, TX 76014

At 103 acres, Vandergriff Park is one of the larger parks in the city with plenty of amenities to check out, from the available BBQ grills, games, public pool, tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, and more. You’ll find plenty of options to choose from at Vandergriff Park, making it one of the best spots in the city to spend an afternoon.

 

Randall Mill Park

Location: 1901 W Randol Mill Rd, Arlington, TX 76012

Randall Mill Park is a great weekend destination to check out with some buddies for some fun in the sun. You’ll find some great fishing spots at the pond, open BBQ grills, hiking and biking, and even an Aquatic Center. This is one spot that’s definitely worth your consideration.

 

Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park

Location: 1650 Matlock Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063

The Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park is a fine spot waiting to be explored. It has some of the best views in the area and with a lot of wildlife activity in the area. A great spot to visit any time of the year, this nature park is perfect for nature walks and hiking for those who love the great outdoors.

 

Joe Pool Lake

Location: Dallas / Tarrant / Ellis counties, Texas, United States

Joe Pool Lake is a beautiful spot for a day out in the lake. This spot is filled with great hiking and biking trails for the family. You can also enjoy some of the great fishing spots in the area where you can catch a variety of fish. Joe Pool Lake is also a fantastic camping spot for a weekend trip, where you can find cabin rentals and some great spots to build a fire and watch the stars at night.
